Rev. William (Bill) Diggins was voted in as the Senior Pastor of Ellington Baptist Church on November 20, 2016. Pastor Bill received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to Ellington Baptist, Pastor Bill led Port Chilkoot Bible Church in Haines, Alaska for over six years and served in various roles at Echo Ranch Bible Camp in Juneau, Alaska for ten years. Pastor Bill’s prayer, as God’s servant in the ministry, is for each of us to passionately magnify God, experience His sufficiency, and acknowledge His supremacy gratefully. Colossians 2:6-7—"Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving." Some of the hobbies that Pastor Bill enjoys are woodworking, fishing, and hunting.
Pastor Bill and his wife Michele, married in October 1992, have been blessed with four children. Michele grew up in Youngstown, Ohio and is a graduate of Liberty University as well as American College of Education. An avid learner herself, Michele has enjoyed homeschooling all four children, three of which have graduated high school and gone on to college or other training. Being involved with different ministries alongside Bill is also very important to Michele, including opening their home for meals, games, fellowship, prayer, counseling, and Bible studies. In her spare time Michele enjoys reading, solving puzzles, sewing, and long walks.
